Supports the day-to-day clinical activities of the practice. Responsible for preparing for patient visits, assisting providers, performing clinical procedures, managing patient communications, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.

I. Major Responsibilities:

1.    Review daily schedule and prepare charts and exam rooms.
2.    Ensure all test results are available and follow up as needed.
3.    Escort and interview patients, confirm visit reasons, and document appropriately.
4.    Take and record vital signs; communicate abnormalities to provider.
5.    Assist providers during patient visits and anticipate needs.
6.    Perform clinical procedures such as EKGs, injections, phlebotomy, and more.
7.    Follow up on patient calls regarding prescriptions, test results, and triage.
8.    Document all patient interactions clearly and accurately.
9.    Coordinate testing and consultations, providing instructions and support to patients.
10.    Maintain and clean equipment, stock supplies, and monitor medication storage.
11.    Follow all internal and external protocols including HIPAA, OSHA, and MRPG policies.
12.    Perform phlebotomy and ensure proper labeling, storage, and transport of specimens.


II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:

Required:
1.    High School diploma or G.E.D.
2.    RN License

Experience/Skills:
Preferred:
1.    Six months of experience

2.    Phlebotomy

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
