16-bed Specialty Care Unit, patients managed by hospitalists, 1:3 RN/patient ratios, 1 NA and 1 PCT on per shift. Patient populations include simple sepsis, DKA, pain management, respiratory failure (Bipap and short-term ventilator, < 48 hour), CHF, HTN, MI with no interventions, withdrawal management, renal failure (hemodialysis), conscious sedation management and vasopressor management, strokes with no interventionsKey Position Details:
Tier 1:1+ year current SCU/intermediate care exp
Tier 2:1+ year telemetry experience
Tier 3:1+ year med/surg experience
Job Description:
Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient’s care needs.
Provides care in Special Care Units and Intermediate Care areas specialize in caring for patients requiring intermediate care for their illness or injury.

Pay Range: $42.92 to $71.47 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
