Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Psychiatric Unit

Location: Heritage Building - 5th Floor - La Crosse, WI

Make a meaningful impact every day. Join our 22-bed Medical Psychiatric Unit and provide both med/surg and psychiatric care to patients while doing the work you love in the scenic Coulee Region.

🕒 Flexible Scheduling Options to Fit Your Life

Choose the schedule that works best for you:

  • 0.7 FTE - 56 hours/2 weeks

    • 8-hour rotating day (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) and PM (2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.) shifts

    • Every other weekend; three holidays per year

💼 What You’ll Do

As a Medical Psychiatric RN, you will:

  • Deliver compassionate care to individuals with Neuro-Psych diagnoses (i.e. dementia, autism, Huntington’s, geropsychiatry) as well as Med-Psych diagnoses (i.e. substance abuse and withdrawal, behavioral health)

  • Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team—including hospitalists, psychiatrists, RNs, CNAs, Social Workers, and Recreational Therapists.

✅ What You’ll Need

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)

  • Current RN license to practice in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain)

  • BLS certification (Infant–Adult) for Healthcare Providers

  • Open to new graduates and experienced RNs
