The Medical Specialty Unit delivers compassionate care to individuals with Neuro-Psych diagnoses (i.e. dementia, autism, Huntington’s, geropsychiatry) as well as Med-Psych diagnoses (i.e. substance abuse and withdrawal, behavioral health).

What you will do:
1.0 FTE, salaried role
Support nursing education, competency, and professional development for RNs and CNAs who work in Medical Specialty
Responsible for system projects and programs, and will work closely with several great teams:
Medical Specialty Leadership Team (Director, Manager, Supervisors, Clinical Nurse Leader, Professional Development Nurse, Quality and Department Chairs)
A large group of 40+ Professional Development Nurses
Travel to other Gundersen locations as required
What you need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
Highly desired: Candidates with MSN in Nursing Education
Master's Degree in Nursing required within 5 years of hire
3-4 years RN experience or equivalent required
RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire
Basic Life Support CPR for Health Care Providers, ACLS
