As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from the pre-op stage all the way through recovery and discharge. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.
A caregiver in this position works day/evening rotation from 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. OR 5:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with on-call, weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administers prescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
One year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
Licensed military RN experience will be considered
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
