Medina's 2 South offers medical, surgical and telemetry care to patients, including thoracentesis, paracentesis and peritoneal dialysis treatment. As an RN in this unit, you will assist fellow caregivers in creating a welcoming, healing and safe environment. You will focus on enhancing care, helping facilitate a transformative experience for patients of all ages, medical histories and demographics.
This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working shifts varying between 7:00 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. -- 7:30 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
External applicant: Two years of recent related nursing experience
Internal applicant: Less than two years of experience, but post-orientation/90-day probationary period considered with the Chief
Nursing Officer level review and approval
Military RN experience considered
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
