Mentor Hospital’s Emergency Department is a 19-bed department that provides 24/7 emergency care to diverse populations of patients. With an innovative virtual platform, the Emergency Department has a telehealth “robot” (a mobile telehealth station) to host consults for patients. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment.

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.
A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with rotating weekends and holiday requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
One year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting, Will consider military RN experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross within one year of hire
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
Experience in an Emergency Department setting
Critical Care experience
