RN Coordinator Trauma Services-Days

EMH Main Hospital Elmhurst Full time

Hourly Pay Range:

$38.16 - $59.15 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Trauma, Coordinator
  • Location:  Elmhurst Hospital
  • Full Time: 40 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 
  • Travel: occasional travel to any of the 8 hospital locations-meetings/quarterly trauma advisory

What you will need:

  • License/Education: Current Illinois RN license required; bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required
  • Certifications: CPR and ACLS required; trauma certifications (TNCC, TNS, CCRN, CEN) preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department or Critical Care experience; prior trauma coordination experience preferred
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills; expertise in trauma systems, performance improvement, data analysis, and staff education

What you will do:

  • Provide 24/7 coordination and oversight of trauma patient care across the hospital
  • Lead and manage the Trauma Performance Improvement Program, including data analysis, benchmarking, and outcome reporting
  • Oversee the Trauma Registry, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting
  • Develop and implement trauma policies, clinical guidelines, and best practices
  • Serve as a clinical expert and resource to multidisciplinary teams
  • Plan and deliver trauma education programs, including TNCC and TNS
  • Monitor quality of care and drive initiatives to improve patient outcomes and cost-effective care
  • Support budget planning and fiscal monitoring for the trauma program
  • Represent the organization on local, regional, and state trauma committees and in community injury prevention initiatives
