POSITION SUMMARY
The Risk & Underwriting Senior Analyst is responsible for managing a portfolio of international renewals and overseeing new business quoting activities.
The position focuses on driving growth through the acquisition and retention of large-case clients, ensuring competitive solutions and exceptional service throughout the process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Underwrites an inforce book of business and new business quotes, focused on attaining profitable growth, persistency, and earnings.
Performs case-specific risk assessments.
Responsible for account level rate development and conducting sales strategy discussions with internal business partners.
Proficient with manual rating pricing methodologies and new business and renewal pricing strategies.
Responsible for an assigned book of business consisting of accounts in our SME (Small-to-Medium Employer) segment.
Works directly with Sales and Client Management teams on new business quotes and renewals, requires the ability to articulate our pricing strategies, risk concerns, and underwriting analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
1+ years of underwriting, finance or related experience strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Analytical and financial acumen.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Success in multi-tasking environment.
Detail oriented and team player.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
