We are looking for ambitious, value‑adding talent to join Modulr — one of the fastest‑growing payments businesses in the UK and Europe — to help drive Change and Automation across our Operations function. This role will lead process improvement, operational change and automation initiatives that enhance our operational process’s while delivering greater efficiency and consistently high service standards. We are looking for a Mumbai based candidate to leverage our “Office First” strategy but the wider team is based across various locations and will support both our UK and European entities.

Across the UK and Europe our payment network connectivity includes FPS, BACS, CHAPS, Open Banking, SEPA, SWIFT and account issuance in multiple currencies. Modulr holds settlement accounts at the Bank of England. We are principal issuing members of Visa and Mastercard schemes across UK and Europe. Our regulatory permissions and governance structure are the foundations of our business. We are regulated and supervised as an Authorized Electronic Money Institution (AEMI) in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority and in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank. Modulr now has over 400 employees across London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Mumbai and the US.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and updating of the Enterprise‑Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA) and the entity‑specific UK risk register, ensuring information is accurate, up to date and clearly documented
- Assist with the coordination of bi‑monthly risk reviews, including preparing materials, tracking actions and supporting escalation through agreed governance forums
- Help ensure consistency between risk assessments, issues logs and management information used for reporting
- Assurance & Issues Management Support
- Support the delivery of the second line assurance plan by assisting with desk‑based reviews, evidence gathering, sampling and documentation
- Track assurance findings and related actions, maintaining clear records and following up with stakeholders to support timely completion
- Assist with maintaining issues management logs, ensuring progress updates are captured and reported accurately
- Regulatory Reporting & Monitoring
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, ensuring inputs are complete, accurate and submitted within required timelines
- Support responses to regulatory information requests by coordinating inputs and materials for review
- Monitor regulatory updates and help summarise key developments and potential impacts for the business
- Governance & Management Information
- Support the preparation of risk and compliance MI, ensuring data is accurate, consistent and clearly presented
- Assist with the preparation of papers, packs and action logs for risk committees, Financial Crime Oversight Committee and Audit & Risk Committee
- Maintain clear records of governance discussions, decisions and actions to support effective follow-up and audit trails
- Policy & Framework Administration
- Support the maintenance of the policy library, including tracking review dates, updates and approvals
- Assist in checking that policies and controls are reflected consistently across risk assessments, assurance activity and reporting
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Development
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to gather information, provide support and help embed risk and compliance processes
- Collaborate with Group and regional Risk & Compliance colleagues to support consistency and shared ways of working
- Develop knowledge of the regulatory environment, risk management frameworks and the three lines of defence through hands-on experience and coaching
Skills and Experience
- An interest in risk management, compliance, regulation or governance, ideally within a regulated or operational environment
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records, track actions and manage information across multiple workstreams
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks, managing competing deadlines with appropriate support
- Confidence working with data, documents and reporting outputs, including management information (MI) and governance materials
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different teams and levels of seniority
- A proactive approach to learning, with willingness to ask questions, seek feedback and build knowledge over time
- Some exposure to risk, compliance, audit, legal, financial crime or regulatory environments, either through previous roles, internships or academic study
- Awareness of the three lines of defence model or basic risk management concepts
