In this position, you’ll support the delivery of key regulatory, compliance, and internal policy requirements while helping to embed best-practice risk processes across the firm. You’ll also harness emerging AI technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our risk management activities, driving continuous improvement and innovation. Drawing on your professional services experience, you will contribute to safeguarding the firm’s reputation and reinforcing the trust we uphold with our clients.

Join the Risk Management & Independence team as a Senior Associate at PwC and play a pivotal role in upholding our firm's commitment to excellence and integrity in Risk Management and Independence.
In this role, you will assist in adhering to essential laws, regulations, and professional standards, applying your keen attention to detail and strong communication skills to engage effectively with local and global teams.

Your day-to-day could include:
Monitoring Support:
Help oversee the firm's risk and quality procedures, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Contribute to the development and delivery of training and awareness programs.
Assist in review programmes to ensure PwC NZ can evidence compliance with regulatory and/or network requirements.
Monitor enterprise risks, ensuring that risks are regularly reviewed and updated to fulfil risk reporting requirements to ELT and the Board.
Policy Development and Implementation:
Assist in the development, review, and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure the firm's policies remain current and effective.
Advisory and Support:
Act as a trusted advisor to partners and staff on risk management issues, in particular AML and/or Information Protection.
Provide support with AML consultations to ensure client teams fulfil AML requirements.
Assist the team in advising and managing internal client queries on client engagement and acceptance risk management.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare regular reports for senior management on risk management and quality matters.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other members of the team to ensure consistency and alignment in quality and risk management practices.
Provides assistance to Senior Risk, Independence and Ethics team members in implementing PwC network requirements and
Collaborate with global PwC network firms to share best practices and insights.
AI and Technology Integration
Navigate AI technologies to enhance risk management processes.
Constructively challenge and help teams improve their current ways of working with AI solutions.
Support on technology transformation projects

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
A minimum of 3 years' experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field within a professional services environment.
Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in risk management.
Strong understanding of conflict of interest and independence regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to constructively challenge and improve existing processes.
Strong leadership and advisory skills to guide teams in adopting AI solutions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
