Job purpose :
The Risk Management & Compliance Coordinator supports the implementation of World Vision Niger’s risk management and compliance activities. This role coordinates risk identification, analysis, and reporting, assists in compliance monitoring, and ensures adherence to internal and external policies and procedures. The coordinator works closely with program teams and partners to promote a culture of risk awareness, facilitate training, and track progress on compliance and audit recommendations. The position provides operational support for risk mitigation and compliance initiatives, contributing to the achievement of organizational objectives.
Major responsabilities:
Support Implementation of Risk Management Framework - Assist in applying enterprise risk management guidelines; coordinate compliance checks and risk assessments; support review and update of risk policies and procedures; maintain documentation.
Coordinate Risk Management Processes - Facilitate risk identification and reporting; support use of risk management tools; communicate risk policies; track mitigation actions.
Promote Risk Awareness and Training - Organize and deliver training sessions; disseminate policies; support awareness campaigns; collect feedback.
Monitor and Report Risks - Collect and analyse risk data; prepare reports; maintain dashboards; support investigations.
Support Partner Evaluation and Capacity Building - Assist in partner due diligence; coordinate training; track recommendations; maintain records.
Audit and Compliance Support - Track implementation of audit recommendations; support quarterly reviews; assist in preparing documentation; serve as secretary for committee meetings.
Whistle-blower and Compliance Monitoring
Coordinate receipt and documentation of reports; support investigations; maintain compliance records; facilitate communication.
Required Professional Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or related fields.
- Experience in development or humanitarian programs is an asset.
- Strong commitment to World Vision’s mission and values.
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Finance, Audit, Social Science, or related field.
- Technical training in ICT and reporting tools preferred.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- Understanding of risk management and compliance principles.
- Experience in internal controls, audit support, and compliance monitoring.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize training and awareness sessions.
- Familiarity with partner capacity assessment and due diligence processes.
- Good French and English capacities
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
- Office-based with frequent travel to the field (up to 30%).
- On call: 10-20% as needed.
