Job Description

Where you’ll fit in & what our team goals are…

You will be working with experienced risk & insurance professionals in a dynamic, innovative team to provide risk management services to the Columbia Threadneedle Investments Alternatives business, including, but not limited to, Real Estate claims, Risk Management Fund, Risk Surveys and consolidation of all data for effective analysis. Various other responsibilities will provide interaction with all aspects of a large risk transfer/financing program.

How you'll spend your time...

  • Assist in the management of the UK Real Estate insurance program and various corporate and international insurance programs by compiling comprehensive exposure data from enterprise-wide operations for underwriting submissions on annual insurance policy renewal. Verify accuracy of data submitted by business operations for timely, accurate renewal applications. Handle certificate of insurance requests, property consults (aka CPSEs) and maintain accurate files as required.

  • Oversee Real Estate claims handling (property and liability), including leading quarterly claims meetings and effectively collaborating with brokers/insurers/TPA representatives during the meetings. Control the annual Risk Management Fund allocation to ensure efficient use of all funding including management of the process throughout the year. Managing Risk Survey reports issued by Insurers, including monitoring the implementation of Risk Improvements within their prescribed deadlines and ensuring that Insurers are kept advised of the status.

  • Administration of the Risk Management Information System and 3rd party RMIS programs. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the data in and between all systems.   Develop and maintain certain report generation, dashboard views and queries in the system.

  • Placing of ad hoc insurance policies (Legal Indemnities, Contract Works) where required and handling general insurance and risk management queries from solicitors/tenants/Managing Agents etc.

  • Maintaining presentation and communication materials outlining the team’s results, achievements and objectives. This includes but is not limited to renewal presentations, Monthly Unit Reviews and board meetings.

  • Accurate financial/analytical reporting skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)

  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office applications

  • Building effective reporting utilizing Power BI and other tools
