Role Description
- Financial Crime Risk & Compliance Business Control Office is part of CB IB Operations & Controls. The team identify and assess Financial Crime and Compliance risk across the Corporate Bank and Investment Bank first line of defence to ensure Financial Crime and Compliance controls satisfy legal and regulatory requirements.
- We provide leadership, implement cultural change around Financial Crime and Compliance, and facilitate collaboration across the lines of defence, divisions, and coordinate legal and regulatory obligations.
- This role supports the development of financial crime risk management frameworks or their components across a range of related areas.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysing data sets, drafting of framework documents, preparing presentations for governance fora (primarily in PowerPoint), collaborating with colleagues as appropriate to ensure outcomes reflect requirements and to a high level of quality.
- Role holders ensure that the risk framework documents are drafted to adhere appropriately to relevant legal, regulatory, and DB policy requirements.

Your key responsibilities
- Support development, further enhancement, and management of the Sensitive Clients Framework, specifically in the area of data management, reporting, and quality control
- Analysing large data sets using Excel, identifying, and monitoring highest risk clients and risk trends
- Assist in the preparation of information and content (primarily in PowerPoint) used to drive decisions within the Sensitive Client Framework
- Document and execute operational processes within the Sensitive Client Framework
- Develop and execute reporting quality control for both incoming and outgoing materials
- Assisting FCR&C BCO team to execute specifically assigned Financial Crime Risk and Control related tasks
Your skills and experience
- Stakeholder management: Respond in a timely fashion to all governance enquiries/requests for information and/or general queries
- Analytical and investigative skills, attention to detail, with the ability to think laterally around issues and propose solutions where required
- Financial Crime Risk (FCR)/ Know Your Client (KYC) knowledge/ awareness
- Willingness to learn new concepts and develop supporting operational processes
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
- Highly motivated self-starter with high standards, comfortable working in a dynamic and fluid environment with progressive timelines
- Familiarity with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (experience with databases and version control tools is a plus)
