Job Description

SUMMARY

Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking (WCIB) Risk Management has an opening for a Risk Consultant Specialist to provide compliance expertise to support trust, custody and Investment services within the Business Line. The WCIB Risk Consultant Specialist will be expected to collaborate with the business units and other Risk/Compliance/Audit (RCA) managers/teams to oversee implementation of an effective RCS framework within the business units providing trust, custody and Investment services. The RCS framework is inclusive of knowledge supporting processes, technology, risk identification and mitigation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Partners with WCIB Business Units and other Business Lines to assess BCIQ/PRISM changes, providing guidance throughout implementation to ensure alignment with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

- Reviews/approves of external and internal materials with compliance risk via the CAT process, as needed. Review for adherence with applicable compliance requirements.

- Engages in TPRM assessments by evaluating the completion of ongoing management activities performed by the business unit. Identify findings as applicable and work with appropriate stakeholders to resolve Compliance related findings.

- Provides impact and gap assessments as a Policy Functional Owner and collaborates with the business line, as needed. Provide oversight during the implementation of required changes to ensure alignment with enterprise policy.

- Responsible for the creation, annual review and maintenance of applicable procedures identified as part of policy requirements and/or business line processes. Procedures can include Volcker, RNDIP, Reg R., etc.

- Provides expert consultation to WCIB audit and exam teams to support engagement with internal and external audit and quality assurance partners, as applicable.

- Assists with issue management, issue vetting and remediation efforts as needed to support timely resolution and risk mitigation for issues with applicable compliance risk.

- Operates independently within the WCIB risk framework, often with tight deadlines and multiple, concurrent projects.

- Partners with WCIB business line and business unit leaders, WCIB risk partners, and the Second Line of Defense Risk subject matter experts.

- Focused on embracing and driving innovation and automation throughout the WCIB processes.

- Escalates potential risks or concerns as appropriate

REQUIRED

- Typically, more than eight years of applicable experience in risk management environment

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

PREFERRED

- Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact WCIB, specifically within the trust, custody and investments products and services

- Demonstrated ability to appropriately influence in a collaborative environment

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

- Considerable understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls

- Considerable knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies

- Strong interpersonal and management skills

- Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

This position offers a hybrid/flexible schedule which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
