Kickstart Your Career with Our Two-Year Graduate Scheme
Join us and gain hands-on experience at M&G whilst building a deep understanding of the role of Risk & Compliance within the Financial Services industry. Your journey starts on 14 September 2026 with a cohort-wide induction, blending industry-focused training with insight sessions led by our experienced professionals. From there, you’ll embark on a programme designed to accelerate your growth:
Business Rotations: Participate in structured rotations across teams within Risk and Compliance. Each placement will help you build technical expertise and broaden your understanding of how our business operates.
Professional Qualifications: We’ll support you in studying for the Level 6 Senior Risk & Compliance Specialist Apprenticeship, providing dedicated study leave and resources to help you succeed.
Professional Development: Alongside your cohort, you’ll develop essential skills via interactive workshops and self-led missions, covering topics like networking, communication, and personal brand.
To support you throughout the programme you’ll have a manager to guide your development, a buddy for day-to-day queries, and plenty of opportunities to attend insight events and grow your network across M&G.
What will I be doing?
Within our Risk & Compliance function, you will play a vital role in helping M&G identify and manage risk effectively, set clear risk appetite and limits, and meet regulatory obligations. We work in partnership with the business to strengthen controls, uphold the highest standards of conduct, and deliver good outcomes for our customers.
This two-year programme is designed to give you a broad, generalist view of Risk & Compliance through a mix of mandatory and optional rotations. You’ll rotate through at least one Risk team, and one Compliance team and gain hands-on experience across the function. Teams could be:
Non-Financial Risk: Learn how operational risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated, supporting analysis and policy reviews to help the business achieve its objectives safely.
Financial Risk: Gain exposure to oversight and assurance activities across financial risks, from fund structures and acquisitions to balance sheet management.
Compliance Monitoring: Conduct risk-based reviews and testing to ensure compliance with financial services rules and regulations.
Compliance Advisory: Provide guidance on regulatory processes, policies, and controls, supporting projects and business developments.
Financial Crime Compliance: Assist in setting frameworks for financial crime compliance and learn how investigations into fraud and other financial crimes are carried out.
This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in a function that challenges the business to own its risks, drives improvement of the control environment, and help shape the future strategy of Risk & Compliance at M&G.
