This role is responsible for analyzing credit and/or performance risk for clients, vendors, and partners, and monitoring credit risk activity, as well as assisting with the administration of a variety of corporate insurance programs to mitigate the company’s operational risk.
Responsibilities:
Analyze the financial strength of counterparties (including clients, vendors, and partners), recommend risk limits according to each counterparty’s credit worthiness and obtain appropriate approval.
Conduct ongoing monitoring of counterparties financial position (through different reporting agencies) and annual reviews to ensure continued creditworthiness, promptly taking corrective action, if necessary.
Perform analysis of markets, sectors and groups of companies to enhance commercial management and improve credit management.
Monitor outstanding balances relative to credit lines.
Aid in gathering and consolidating potential risk data, in collaboration with various business units, and work with brokers for timely completion of insurance applications.
Collaborate with business units to provide to broker timely business updates that impact insurance coverage.
Coordinate the issuance of certificates of insurance as needed.
Support the management of surety bond renewals and payments for our various business units
Assist different business units in the process of filing insurance claims.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a business-related degree.
2+ years previous credit risk experience.
Credit risk analysis including financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, liquidity analysis, required.
Preferred qualifications and skills:
Knowledge in property, business interruption, general liability, marine, and workers compensation insurance products and structures.
Strong planning and organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to assist multiple activities timely and a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and within a team on special projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish.
