Revenue Systems & Transformation Manager (6-Month Project)
Job Description
This is a 6-month specialist role created to support the successful implementation of SAP Universal Revenue Recognition (SAP RAR) and to evaluate the wider revenue-accounting landscape for future transformation opportunities.
In this role, will lead the revenue-accounting workstream of the SAP project while simultaneously developing a deep understanding of existing revenue policies, processes, data flows, and systems to identify areas for standardisation, automation, and long-term scalability.
1. SAP Universal Revenue Recognition Implementation (Primary Focus)
Act as the revenue-accounting lead for the SAP Universal Rev Rec deployment.
Translate IFRS 15 accounting requirements into system design specifications.
Participate in design workshops and validate system configuration for performance obligations, SSP rules, variable consideration, modifications, and multi-element arrangements.
Lead SIT and UAT from the revenue perspective—building test scripts, validating outputs, and ensuring accurate end-to-end revenue flows.
Support data migration, cutover planning, reconciliations, defect remediation, and go-live readiness.
Validate post-go-live outputs to ensure stability and accuracy.
2. Current-State Q2C Documentation
Map the full Q2C revenue lifecycle: CRM → CPQ → Contracting → Billing → ERP → Reporting.
Document current revenue policies, process flows, approval pathways, data dependencies, and system behaviour.
Identify manual processes, operational pain points, control gaps, and inefficiencies.
Assess how current processes align—or conflict—with the SAP future architecture.
3. Future-State Design & Transformation Roadmap
Define an optimised future-state Q2C model aligned to IFRS 15, system automation, and scalability.
Recommend standardisation opportunities across contracts, billing flows, data structures, and reporting.
Propose enhancements to integrations, automation, and system governance.
Develop a clear, phased transformation roadmap detailing: process standardisation opportunities; Required system enhancements; Data-quality initiatives; Automation priorities; Control improvements.
Present recommendations to leadership with clear impact, effort, and sequencing.
4. Technical Revenue Leadership
Provide IFRS 15 guidance to ensure that policies are accurately operationalised in the SAP solution.
Serve as the escalation point for complex revenue scenarios during the project.
Support the creation or update of process documentation, controls, and policy interpretations as required.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Change Management
Partner closely with Finance, IT, Sales Ops, Legal, and external SAP consultants.
Facilitate alignment across teams on design choices and future-state requirements.
Support training, communication, and knowledge transfer to ensure readiness for new processes and systems.
8–10+ years of SaaS or technology revenue-accounting experience.
Deep knowledge of IFRS 15 with hands-on experience managing complex revenue arrangements.
Strong experience with ERP or revenue-recognition system implementations, ideally SAP RAR.
Proven ability to document current-state processes and define future-state operating models.
Strong project-management, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Systems-focused, improvement-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced transformation environment.
