The Revenue Recognition Specialist/Analyst is responsible to help ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with policy and revenue recognition Accounting Standards. Focus is to ensure the accuracy of revenue recognition in accounting systems.

This is a remote role; however, we strongly prefer candidates based in or near the Dallas, TX area.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

Responsibilities:

  • Manages, controls and tracks appropriately revenue recognition transactional activity
  • Assist in month-end closing of the Accounts Receivable module and weekly/monthly reconciliations
  • Maintain and update accurate, complete, tracking of revenue transaction queues
  • Analyzes information to determine validity of revenue recognition
  • Review client contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with policy and Revenue Recognition Accounting Standards
  • Investigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicate revenue scenarios
  • Assist in audit review, both financial and internal control related
  • Review and respond to Accounts Receivable inquiries
  • Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and annual ad hoc reporting
  • Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information
  • Provide support to ad hoc projects as required

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and two to five years related experience.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe, experience using Workday Financial System is a plus.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The position requires limited supervisory responsibilities, including training employees, assigning work, and checking work for accuracy and completeness.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment
  • Hybrid Remote eligible; periodic days in office are required
  • Long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Occasional long periods of standing.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm
