General Summary:

Processes pass orders for outlets, employers, DART store, government entities, non-profit organizations and other pass programs. Performs other Finance Distribution processes to include accounting, A/R management and reconciliation. Provides customer support to internal and external pass sales clients. Maintains and distributes fare media inventory for the agency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verifies, prepares, processes and distributes all transit script for annual, monthly and online pass programs in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepares invoices and applies payments and credits to customer accounts.
  • Provides customer service to internal and external clients including answering calls and scheduling appointments for fare media distribution.
  • Performs accounts receivable activities to include reconciliation, monitoring past due accounts and outstanding credits.
  • Initiates other collection processes, which include making collection calls to clients, reviewing and correcting invoices and accounts as necessary.
  • Downloads and reviews Lockbox payments.
  • Conducts monthly audits of all fare media at the DART retail store and in the Pass Distribution vault.
  • Processes Treasury duties to include, but not limited to, Payroll settlement process, ACH file transmission, AP checks, child support payments and print and distribute payroll checks to DART employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
  • Three (3) years experience in a financial, accounting, or revenue operations to include one (1) year progressively responsible experience in customer service or a similar environment.
  • As a condition of employment, must pass a criminal background and credit check
  • Knowledge of basic accounting receivables and on-line bill payment systems.
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy and integrity when handling financial assets and confidential material.
  • Analytical ability to develop solutions to complex financial, accounting, and customer account reconciliations.
  • High level of PC proficiency with EXCEL and Microsoft Word. Lawson system exposure is a plus; Lawson proficiency is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
  • Ability to marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done. Can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal. Uses resources effectively and efficiently. Arranges information and files in a useful manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
