The Revenue Controller will oversee global revenue recognition processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies. This role is critical for maintaining accurate financial reporting, managing revenue streams across multiple regions, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, experience in complex revenue arrangements, and the ability to lead a team and work in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies.
Global Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance across all regions
Contract Review: Analyze customer contracts for revenue implications and advise on structuring to optimize compliance and profitability. Provide timely feedback to all stakeholders.
Team Leadership: Manage a team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high standards and professional growth.
Month-End Close: Assist the controllers group with revenue-related activities during close
Audit Support: Prepare documentation and liaise with external auditors for revenue-related requests.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in revenue accounting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure proper revenue treatment for new contracts, products and services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and holds a CPA license
8+ years of experience in revenue accounting or controllership, including leadership roles in a global organization.
Deep knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition standards (ASC 606).
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-region revenue processes.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and revenue automation tools.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
