Retail Supply & Consumable Manager

We’re looking for an operationally savvy, detail-driven leader to step into a 12-month contract as our Retail Supply & Consumables Manager within our Central Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of GNFR (goods not for resale) operations at MECCA, ensuring our stores have what they need, when they need it — all while driving efficiency, innovation, and exceptional service. 

 

The Role You Could Play 

In this pivotal role, you’ll own the end-to-end strategy and execution of all GNFR operations across MECCA’s retail network. You’ll lead the GNFR function to ensure seamless distribution, accurate forecasting, and full availability of retail packaging, supplies, and consumables — always at the lowest cost and highest service standard. 
You’ll work cross-functionally across Supply Chain, Stores, Procurement, IT, Finance and key external partners to create future-state solutions that uplift accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Lead the strategy, forecasting and end-to-end management of GNFR packaging, supplies and consumables for all MECCA stores  

  • Ensure stores receive timely, accurate, and cost-effective distribution of all GNFR items while maintaining optimal stock health and compliance 

  • Oversee BAU processes while building future-state reporting, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives 

  • Manage stakeholder relationships (internal and external), including service levels, KPIs, and inventory-related communication 

  • Provide insights and recommendations that enhance usage efficiency, cost outcomes, and customer experience 

 

What You Will Bring 

  • Years’ experience in forecasting, allocation, replenishment, procurement or supplier management, ideally in a retail environment 

  • Tenured experience in supplier account ownership, maintaining strong oversight across costs, orders and process to ensure reliable and transparent performance 

  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and reporting skills and experience interpreting consumption trends and spend  

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across both Support Centre teams and store networks 

  • Proven ability to manage complex operational processes and deliver improvements across inventory, forecasting, or supply chain 

  • A hands-on, solutions-focused approach with strong prioritisation, organisation and commercial awareness
