About the Role

The Retail Sellout Manager will be responsible for driving regional sell-out performance while delivering an exceptional consumer experience across all customer touchpoints. The role includes executing the sales strategy to increase customer conversions at the retail floor and building strong brand mindshare at both account and touchpoint levels.

What You Will Do

  • Plan and drive sell-out targets in alignment with the NSM across LFR, RR, and GT channels, ensuring alignment with regional business objectives.

  • Monitor performance metrics, including target achievement trends, growth trends, CS–DS trends, and attachment ratios.

  • Implement and ensure compliance with planograms across retail formats (LFR and GT).

  • Govern and optimize retail investments at the store level.

  • Manage ISP and TL deployment, including productivity norms (BDN), hiring, and retention.

  • Drive store activation initiatives to improve visibility and conversions, including in-store visibility innovations, hotspots, combo displays, and localized initiatives.

  • Lead digital initiatives, with a focus on GMB execution and effectiveness.

  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives for focus partners and key stores to drive growth and improve CS.

  • Stay continuously updated on market trends, competition, and industry best practices.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 15–20+ years of progressive experience in sales and/or business development roles across multiple markets.

  • Advanced proficiency in business applications, including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and internet-based tools.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong consumer products orientation, with a keen understanding of consumer wants and needs that can be applied to developing market-winning retail sales strategies.

  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams within Harman as well as a broad range of industry and consumer customers.

  • Demonstrated creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, consistently driving new ideas and programs to address sales and market challenges.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • MBA preferred.

  • Strong familiarity with the local market and clear understanding of channels and geography.

  • Strong product presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically, as required by the role.

  • Work location: Mumbai.
