Job Description

The Retail Sales Program Coordinator supports the development, organization, and execution of retail sales programs designed to drive incremental sales and improve the in-store customer experience. This role partners closely with cross-functional departments—including Store Operations, Marketing, Merchandise, Training, and IT—to coordinate program materials, track performance, gather field feedback, and ensure smooth rollout of retail-focused initiatives. The Coordinator plays a critical role in translating strategy into execution by preparing content, communication, tools, and reporting that support retail sales growth across the store network. Objectives are to show consistent retail sales growth. The Retail Sales Program Coordinator partners directly with store teams to reinforce product knowledge, promote engaging sales interactions, and cultivate a fun, energetic, customer-focused environment. This role is a strong support position designed to enhance the capacity of the Retail Strategy Manager by owning execution details, coordinating cross-functional alignment, and building the tools and resources needed to successfully roll out retail sales programs. It is ideal for someone highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about improving store execution and driving sales.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist in designing and building retail sales programs, promotions, and field-facing initiatives that support O’Reilly’s retail growth strategy.

Partner cross-functionally (Marketing, Merchandise, Training, IT, Store Design, etc.) to gather requirements, align timelines, and prepare program deliverables.

Create clear, easy-to-execute field resources including guides, playbooks, checklists, and training support materials.

Coordinate pilot programs and proof-of-concept tests, including preparing stores, collecting data, and summarizing results.

Monitor program performance through reporting tools (DOMO) compiling insights for the Manager of Retail Strategy and leadership.

Gather and organize field feedback, identifying patterns, risks, and opportunities to improve retail programs.

Maintain program calendars, timelines, workflow documentation, and communication plans.

Support change management efforts by helping prepare weekly updates, Zipline communications, and presentation materials.

Partner with Training to ensure retail programs are supported with appropriate learning resources and operational clarity.

Assist with creating store-level adoption tools (job aids, one-pagers, visuals, frequently asked questions, step-by-step guides).

Prepare summaries, presentations, and recommendations for leadership based on analysis of program performance and field feedback.

Support the Manager of Retail Strategy with benchmarking competitor initiatives, industry trends, and best practices in retail sales.

Track and maintain status of ongoing initiatives, providing regular updates to ensure visibility to cross-functional partners.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

1–3 years of experience in retail operations, merchandising, marketing, or program coordination.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex strategies into simple, clear field-ready tools.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Comfort working with data and translating insights into actionable recommendations.

Ability to build strong partnerships across departments and work collaboratively.

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Desired:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or equivalent experience.

Experience with project coordination, field testing, or retail program execution.

Familiarity with DOMO, PowerBI, or similar analytics/reporting platforms.

Understanding of retail sales fundamentals (merchandising, in-store execution, customer experience).

Experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.
