Position Overview

Reporting to the APAC Creative Director, the Retail & Marketing Creative Senior Manager leads the development and execution of creative strategies for The Disney Store across the APAC region. This role is responsible for delivering innovative, brand-aligned retail and marketing creative assets that drive consumer engagement and elevate the Disney Store experience, both in-store and online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor in-house creative teams, external agencies, and contractors to produce high-impact creative assets—including key visuals, graphic layouts, video, signage,—for retail and e-commerce channels across APAC.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of bespoke interior visuals, ensuring local relevance and brand consistency by collaborating with the APAC Creative team and the global Retail Center of Excellence, the APAC TDS Business, Merchandising and Product teams as well as other cross-functional key stakeholders and teams.
  • Partner with the Global Retail Creative team to conceptualize and execute pop-up store experiences, maintaining cohesive brand storytelling while adapting to local market needs.
  • Identify and analyze emerging retail and shopper trends in APAC, curating inspirational themes and applying local insights to enhance store designs and differentiated store concepts.
  • Direct visual design for new store and pop-up openings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver distinctive retail experiences, including façade and interior graphics, campaign visuals and digital assets.
  • Oversee the creative development of flagship pop-ups, including retail graphics, event campaigns, and digital assets.
  • Manage the design and execution of marketing graphics and retail visuals for both pop-ups and permanent stores, ensuring high standards and brand integrity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a brand-side enterprise, retail marketing design agency, architectural firm, or creative design department within consumer products companies.
  • At least 5 years in a design management role, with proven ability to lead and develop creative teams.
  • Strong expertise in retail and consumer trend analysis, with the ability to translate insights into innovative design solutions.
  • Proficient in graphic and 2D design for retail signage, key visuals, and presentation materials.
  • Skilled in developing storytelling concepts, 2D/3D mock-ups, and renderings.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Keynote, and professional design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, etc.).
  • Fluent in English and Mandarine Chinese
  • Experience in multicultural, fast-paced environments is highly desirable.
