What this job involves:

The Retail Facilities Manager will manage the day-to-day client activities for the assigned property/facility and be the on-site key point of contact for key stakeholders and/or client.  

The role will have responsibility and assist with site budgets, accounting and finance, maintenance and operations, contract services, purchasing of material, equipment & supplies, occupancy services and helpdesk.

Major Responsibilities include:

  • Managing preventative maintenance for corporate and retail branch networks

  • Resolving internal requests for reactive maintenance for corporate and retail branch networks

  • Dealing with facilities related queries from internal users including arranging/ moving furniture, arranging meeting rooms, relocating employees

  • Ensure landlord responsibilities are identified and communicated accordingly working with the landlord to ensure they meet their obligations. Tasks may involve liaising with landlords on any disputes related to maintenance requests.

  • Maintains an Asbestos Register to ensure that the client has an accurate list of those sites for which a report is required.

  • Address all cleaning issues for sites

  • Responsibility to ensure that the client meets its essential services reporting obligations

  • Oversee minor building upgrades

  • Coordinating the movement of staff around buildings

  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, building, business or other related field &/or  3-5 years’ experience in facilities, property management, hospitality or related field

  • Has experience working in critical environments

  • Knowledge of vendor management for specialized services

  • Has an understanding of basic technical aspects of property (Computer Room Air-conditioning, Chiller system, Fire Protection system, Mechanical & Electrical system, BMS system)

  • Proven capacity to understand and interpret commercial contracts

  • Strong budget management and financial analysis skills
