Retail Channel Manager

Location: Central US including IL, MN, WI, NE, MS, KS IA.

The ideal candidate will reside in the geography.

Relocation assistance will not be provided.

As a Retail Channel Manager, you will be a key driver in expanding the reach and impact of our vaccine and pharmaceutical products in the retail sector. Your role will involve managing relationships with key retail accounts, executing strategic market plans, and ensuring the successful launch and adoption of our products. Your expertise in sales, contracting, and market access will be instrumental in achieving sales targets and fostering strong customer relationships. The RCM reports to the Retail Channel Manager Lead and will be a key business partner to the Vaccines Sales Director. The RCM will serve as the retail pharmacy subject matter expert within the Regional Sales Lead team. They will impact retail segment growth both directly through customer engagement and indirectly through coordination of pull through opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for GSK's retail vaccine and pharmaceutical products.

  • Manage and expand relationships with key retail accounts, including large pharmacy chains and independent retailers.

  • Conduct consultative selling to retail partners, providing comprehensive product knowledge and addressing queries with ethical compliance.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, and supply chain, to ensure seamless delivery and support for retail customers.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account progress in CRM systems.

  • Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to stay updated on industry trends and expand professional networks.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of combined experience in the following areas: Vaccines Sales or Account Management, Retail Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sales, Contracting, Payer, or Marketing

  • Up to 55% travel, must reside near a major airport

  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a retail account manager for either vaccines or pharmaceutical products

  • Strong record of high performance and consistent results

  • Strong knowledge of large account selling

Preferred Skills:

  • Key Account Management: Proven experience managing and expanding relationships with key retail accounts.

  • Consultative Selling: Expertise in consultative selling techniques, particularly related to vaccines and pharmaceutical products.

  • Market Access/Financial Fluency: Understanding of market access dynamics and financial aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strategic Market/Account Planning: Ability to develop and execute strategic market and account plans.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Strong skills in managing customer relationships and driving customer satisfaction.

  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of vaccines and pharmaceutical products and their market applications.

  • Contract Management: Experience with contract management within the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Resilience and Courage: Ability to demonstrate resilience and courage in a challenging and dynamic environment.

  • Ethical Integrity and Compliance: Commitment to ethical integrity and compliance with industry standards

  • Networking: Excellent networking skills to build and maintain professional relationships.

  • Digital Literacy: Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for sales and customer engagement

  • Omnichannel Engagement: Experience in omnichannel engagement strategies.

  • AI/Data Fluency: Familiarity with AI and data analytics to inform strategic decisions.

  • Enterprise Mindset: Ability to think and act with an enterprise-wide perspective.

  • Local Healthcare Ecosystem: Knowledge of the local healthcare ecosystem and its key players

  • Product Launch: Experience in product launch strategies and execution.
