The role: 

This position plays a key part in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the daily operations of The Salvation Army’s Nambour Family Store. The role involves a range of retail and warehouse duties that contribute to the smooth running of the store and the achievement of the organisation’s mission objectives. 

 

How you will make an impact: 

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and provide assistance to shoppers on the shop floor, at fitting rooms, the register, or in other areas as required. 

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of in-store marketing and promotional activities. 

  • Assist with receiving, sorting, and processing donations to ensure adequate stock levels on the shop floor, with correct pricing and presentation. 

 

What you will bring: 

  • Demonstrated experience in customer service within a retail environment, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. 

  • Supervisory experience in a retail or similar setting will be highly regarded. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage positively with people from diverse backgrounds. 

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. 

  • Reasonable level of physical fitness to meet the operational requirements of the role.
