About the role:

Building on Bunnings’ longstanding commitment to responsibly sourced timber, you’ll lead a passionate team driving responsible sourcing across Bunnings’ global supply chain. As Responsible Sourcing Manager your role is to partner with our buying team and suppliers to protect biodiversity and meet regulatory and sustainability commitments through our sourcing practices.

This role offers the chance to make a real impact on our customers, suppliers, and communities.

What’s involved:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver Bunnings’ Responsible Timber Sourcing strategy

  • Oversee end-to-end compliance for timber imports, ensuring adherence to Australia’s Illegal Logging Prohibition Act

  • Drive continuous improvement in compliance systems, leveraging technology and data to streamline processes

  • Partner with suppliers, certification bodies, and internal teams to strengthen responsible sourcing practices and build collaborative solutions

  • Monitor emerging risks and regulatory changes, keeping Bunnings ahead of the curve

  • Prepare reports and insights for senior leadership, influencing decisions that shape our sustainability journey

About You:

You’re a confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver commercial outcomes whilst maintaining compliance.

You’ll bring a collaborative mindset, strong influencing skills, and the ability to navigate complex supply chains.

You’ll need:

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in sourcing, compliance, or sustainability

  • Solid understanding of timber regulations and responsible sourcing principles

  • Experience in compliance programs, risk assessment, and audit management

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for turning data into actionable insights

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across internal and external networks

  • Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, law, supply chain, or related fields are highly regarded
