Overview of Position:

To provide respiratory care to customers in the retail and home setting for N.O.M.E. Will instruct and evaluate patients on equipment and provide feedback to physicians. Will be responsible for the training and evaluation of delivery technicians for respiratory equipment.

       K.  Apnea Monitor follow ups and downloads
       L.  Non-Invasive ventilation
       M.  Tracheostomy air compressor set ups
       N.  Equipment troubleshooting
       O.  Re-supply orders
       P.  Insurance verifications
       Q.  Prior authorizations
       R.  Confirmation and billing
       S.  Scanning
       T.  Pap compliance
       U.  Conserving device evaluations 
       V.  Portable oxygen concentrator evaluations 
       W.  Oxygen re-qualification testing
        X.  Oxygen re-sets
        Y.  Continuous pulse oximetry set ups
        Z.  Mask fittings
2) Responsible for maintaining accurate records in patient’s respiratory files to include doctor’s orders, test results, patient information, plan       
    of care.
3) Responsible for training and evaluation of delivery technicians for respiratory equipment.
4) Responsible for working with billing staff to provide information for CMN’s to facilitate appropriate and timely billing.
5) Is knowledgeable of the service area.
6) Assists in retail area of the store as needed.
7) Will serve as a back-up and resource person to on-call delivery technician

QUALIFICATIONS


1.    Graduate of an accredited respiratory program, either certified or registered, and hold a current Ohio license.
2.    Must have at least one year of experience in a clinical setting. 
3.    Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served.
4.    Must be able to perform the essential duties of a respiratory care professional. 
5.    Ability to communicate effectively with the customer, physician and other employees.
6.    Ability to read, write and explain or describe moderately complex information to staff and patients.  
7.    Attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize under pressure.
8.    Goal oriented with strong strategic and critical thinking skills: displays common sense and ability to make quick patient-based decisions.
9.    Thorough understanding of current standards that drive respiratory care and sleep medicine.
10.    Is knowledgeable of the delivery area of service area. 
11.    Computer proficiencies to enter, assemble, organize and retrieve data, analyze, and integrate data from diverse sources.  Use of internet, e-mail and electronic calendar required.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1.    Works in an office environment but is required to visit patient homes on a regular basis.
2.    Must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and often lift or move up to 50 pounds.
3.    Vision abilities require up-close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
4.    Individual bends, reaches, pushes and pulls file drawers to file records and reports.
5.    Answers phone calls, uses computer and other business machines extensively which requires the ability to apply finger dexterity.
6.    May be required to drive to other locations.
7.    May be required to periodically rotate shifts and regular days off.  All system employees must be willing to work all shifts, extra hours,     holidays and emergency shifts as required.
8.    Requires on-call schedule.
