Resin Molding Technician

Marucci Sports, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fox Factory, was founded by two former MLB players and their athletic trainer who began handcrafting bats for some of the best players in the game from their garage in 2004. Fast forward to today, that dedication to quality and understanding of players’ needs has turned Marucci into an All-American success story, the number one bat preferred by players and The Official Bat of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for applying resin to composite materials, preparing wood veneer to be pre-wetted with resin and application of the plastic core during the molding process of the Baum composite baseball bat. This person works with a variety of composite materials, wood veneer, polyurethane foam and be responsible for the entire molding process

Position Responsibilities:

  • Mix and apply resin to composite materials to enhance their strength and durability.
  • Inspect and prepare wood veneer for assembly process.
  • Prepare bat’s assembly for polyurethane core injection.
  • Place cored assembly into molds, demold cored assembly after resin cured.
  • Operate machinery and equipment to apply resin to materials.
  • Inspect each piece for imperfections and defects and make necessary repairs.
  • Work with the various production teams to ensure proper scheduling and timely delivery of finished materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Record and report any issues with equipment or supplies to the supervisor.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience required
  • Knowledge of different types of resins and their applications preferred.
  • Familiarity with composite materials and their properties preferred.
