interactive investor, the UK’s second largest direct-to-consumer investment platform, enables individuals in the UK to plan, save, and invest in the way that works for them.
Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.
Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.
The Resilience Specialist plays a vital role within the Business Resilience Team, supporting the development, upkeep, and ongoing enhancement of the organisation’s Resilience capability. The role contributes to resilience planning, data analysis, response testing, and documentation maintenance to ensure the firm can operate safely and effectively during incidents or disruptions. It is well suited to someone with an academic background in resilience, or with relevant transferable skills and an eagerness to learn and develop their knowledge across Aberdeen’s Resilience functions, Operational and Digital Resilience, Business Continuity, Crisis and Incident Management and Physical Security.
Key Responsibilities
Work with colleagues across Group business, risk and compliance, Operational Risk, IT and other supporting functions help gather information and maintain an organisational view of resilience capabilities.
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders to support smooth delivery of resilience activities.
Assist with supporting delivery of elements of the Resilience Framework by following established processes and templates.
Support mapping of important business services, processes, and dependencies (people, technology, third parties, facilities).
Support and guide business areas to update resilience documents such as the Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and resilience plans, ensuring documentation remains current and aligned to policy.
Provide administrative and planning support for resilience tests and exercises (e.g., call‑tree tests, scenario exercises, recovery testing).
Analyse data collated from the business inputs (via BIAs, plans, tests etc) validating data is accurate and ensure resilience gaps are captured.
Prepare dashboards, MI packs, and status updates for senior stakeholders.
Analyse performance metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for enhancement.
Experience required;
• Familiarity with relevant Resilience regulations and standards, including PS21/3 Operational Resilience, DORA and ISO22301.
• Knowledge or experience of current thinking in Operational Resilience,
Business Continuity, Crisis & Incident Management and/or Physical Security
• Ability to demonstrate strong stakeholder management, with experience of
working confidently with varied stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise documentation and reporting,
including reports and presentations, for a range of audiences.
Desirable experience;
• Degree (or equivalent experience in business, finance, resilience, risk
management or similar discipline)
• Resilience certifications such as CBCI, CISM or ISO 22301 Implementer/Auditor.
• Understanding of financial services, asset management operations and/or
platform services
• Knowledge and experience of ServiceNow
