Resilience Analyst

United States Full Time

We are seeking a Resilience Analyst to assist with implementation of the Enterprise Resilience program with a focus on data collection, documentation, and coordination and execution of assigned tasks. This analyst will independently conduct meetings with our partners across the business to assist them with populating their Business Impact Analysis, then use the information collected to maintain up-to-date Business Continuity Plans. The analyst may  perform other support roles within the broader Enterprise Resilience Team, such as taking notes during Business Continuity or Crisis Exercises to ensure action items are captured, updating Disaster Recovery Plans, and maintaining lists of critical systems.

This is a junior-level position with room for growth. The analyst will receive support from more senior employees on the Enterprise Resilience Team to ensure smooth on-boarding and increasingly independent ownership of the responsibilities listed below.

This is a hybrid or remote role for the United States with preference given to those in the Eastern time zone.

Core Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct information-gathering meetings with senior leaders
  • Capture information provided by our partners in the business regarding their processes for the business impact analysis (BIA)
  • Become an expert on MongoDB's Business Continuity Program requirements and be the primary contact for our partners in the business when they have questions about their BIAs and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs)
  • Maintain up-to-date BCPs and Disaster Recovery (DR) runbooks / playbooks
  • Maintain the roadmap for conducting BIAs, and ensure all in-scope functions meet their annual BIA and BCP update deadlines
  • Provide support for administrative tasks, such as maintaining lists of post-exercise action items and an inventory of critical systems

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree OR 2+ years' experience in a corporate setting
  • 2+ years' experience working with Google Sheets, Excel, or other spreadsheet software tools
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve mastery of new software tools
  • Experience communicating with senior leaders to (1) convey information needed, (2) follow up on deadlines, and (3) ask probing questions if the information provided by the senior leader needs clarification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to capture and structure information received verbally
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, detail-oriented, focused on execution, and meets deadlines

Preferred

  • Experience with Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and / or Crisis Management
  • Experience with mail merge
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks, such as ISO 22301, and with DORA requirements

Success Measures

3 Months

  • Complete all MongoDB new employee training
  • Review MongoDB's resilience documentation
  • Understand the tiering structure of MongoDB's in-scope functions
  • Attend BIA information-gathering sessions led by other members of the Enterprise Resilience Team
  • Update function statuses in the existing business continuity roadmap as we make progress with in-scope functions

6 Months

  • Understand what the in-scope functions do for MongoDB and how their work is interrelated
  • Capture BIA information in the Enterprise Resilience Team's existing templates during BIA information-gathering sessions; sessions will be led by other members of the Enterprise Resilience Team, and the analyst will serve in a note-taking capacity

12 Months

  • Lead BIA information-gathering sessions; continue capturing information provided by the in-scope functions during the sessions
  • Create the roadmap for 2027 business continuity deadlines based on the roadmap the analyst has been updating throughout 2026

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. $64,000$127,000 USD
