Residential Garbage Truck Driver – Automated Side Load

Waste Connections is looking for safety-focused CDL Drivers who have a passion for driving, career growth, and share our #1 Value: Safety! We are hiring Residential Garbage Truck Drivers to join our team in New Port Richey, FL.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday | Day shift starts at 5:00 AM
- Typical workday: 10–11 hours
- Every 3rd Saturday for extra overtime
- Full-time, year-round position (50–55 hours/week)
Position Summary
- Operate an Automated Side Load Garbage Truck on assigned residential routes
- Safely and efficiently collect waste using automated lifting equipment
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections (fluids, tires, safety equipment)
- Provide courteous and professional service to customers
- Regular heavy lifting and climbing in/out of the truck required
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Job Requirements
- Valid Class A or B CDL License
- Minimum 2 years of work experience with a stable work history (driver experience preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Garbage truck experience is a PLUS
