Wear Referrals (Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, Mars) is a multi-disciplinary, veterinary referral hospital in the North East of England, close to the historic university city of Durham, the thriving city of Newcastle and set between the north east coast, the Pennine mountains and several National Parks.  Specialist services include neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, oncology, diagnostic imaging. We have an exciting vacancy in our 3-year standard single site ECVS veterinary surgery residency programme (VSRP) commencing 1st July 2026. ECVS programme requirements for College registration and qualification can be found on their website www.ecvs.org. Successful candidates will work within the orthopaedic and soft tissue teams, including out of hours responsibilities at weekends, weeknights and bank holidays.

Requirements:

-        Completion of a 12-month internship (or equivalent) at a referral hospital (a discretionary minimum of 2 years of relevant surgical experience may be considered). 

-        Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 

-        Hold current MRCVS registration.
