Job Description Summary

Resident Engineer – MEP is responsible for supervising all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works during data centre construction. This role ensures that all MEP systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, technical standards, and operational requirements of mission-critical facilities. The RE MEP acts as the primary technical authority on-site for MEP disciplines and coordinates closely with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal engineering teams.

About the Role:  

  • Supervise daily Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installations to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and data‑centre standards.
  • Review and validate MEP shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and respond to RFIs.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to resolve MEP technical issues and interface clashes.
  • Monitor MEP progress, flag risks or delays, and prepare regular technical and quality reports for project management.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in MEP supervision for large-scale industrial or mission‑critical construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems commonly used in data centres: cooling, power distribution, UPS/generators, fire protection, and plumbing.
  • Proven ability to oversee complex technical installations and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
