The Researcher IV provides high-level scholarly content expertise, wet-laboratory tactical leadership, and specialized molecular/cellular biology technical guidance within the Engineering Better Decisions (EBD) Lab. This senior-level position is responsible for directing basic and translational bench-level research projects, with a specific focus on chemical and microbial mixtures in environmental and mammalian systems. The incumbent serves as a primary mentor and supervisor for laboratory personnel, including post-doctoral scientists, research fellows, and students. Beyond bench operations, the Researcher IV is a key driver of the lab’s academic output, leading manuscript development and substantively supporting the preparation of federal and internal grant proposals (e.g., R01, R21, R03, and P-series) to sustain and expand the lab’s research portfolio.

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent experience required
  • 7 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience required with Master's Degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience with Doctoral Degree.

Pay Range: $51,500-$67,250

Additional Information:

This is a part time 20 hour a week position.

This position is contingent upon funding and will end on or before a three-year term of employment, with possibility of renewal based on continued availability of funding and performance.
