European University Cyprus is currently seeking a passionate, skilled and team-oriented candidate to join our Research team at the position of Research Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to EUC faculty and researchers, as part of the EUC Research Office.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and disseminate funding opportunities to EUC faculty and researchers to support and promote research excellence.
- Monitor funding programme conditions, restrictions and relevant legal frameworks, providing guidance to ensure compliance during proposal preparation, submission and implementation.
- Collect, validate and submit administrative research data for reporting purposes.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of research proposals, project contracts and agreements.
- Maintain and update databases related to EUC research projects and proposals.
- Coordinate seminars, workshops and related activities that promote research collaboration, capacity building and networking within EUC.
- Prepare and contribute to internal and external reports on University research performance utilizing relevant data.
- Collect and submit data for University ranking schemes, faculty award schemes and internal assessment processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Perform any additional duties related to research administration as assigned by the Office of the Vice Rector for Research and External Affairs.
Qualifications required:
- Master’s degree (MA/MSc)
- Full fluency in Greek and English languages
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Experience in designing, developing and editing research proposals
- Familiarity with and experience in Research Promotion Foundation’s and EU funding programs
- High level of organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- High degree of numeracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work with multiple and tight deadlines
