Job Description:
The Research Scientist at the Department of Health Services, Policy & Practice within the School of Public Health is responsible for leading and contributing to projects at a research center focused on understanding and developing policies that increase affordability and value in U.S. healthcare. The incumbent will devise, formulate, and execute investigative protocols and disseminate their insights through the publishing of findings in authoritative publications and documents. This work will address knowledge gaps as to what policies work best to reduce healthcare costs, enhance patient well-being, and transform how healthcare is provided in the U.S. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in health services research, economics, or a related discipline, with evidence of rigorous training in research and a track record of scholarly activity.

This is a fixed term position with a current end date of May 31, 2027, which may be extended based upon available funding.
This position is remote/hybrid eligible.
To be eligible for a remote work arrangement, candidates must reside in a state where Brown University is currently registered for payroll and business operations.
