The Quality Governance team plays a pivotal role in establishing a robust framework to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of climate and sustainability data across Sustainable1. We support regulatory compliance, internal controls, client confidence, and operational excellence by embedding industry-leading quality standards and governance practices.
The Impact: As part of Governance & Quality team, you will directly contribute to strengthening data integrity and ensuring ESG datasets meet the high expectations of regulators, clients, and market stakeholders. You will design systematic quality checks, analyse ESG inputs for potential discrepancies, and collaborate with stakeholders to continuously enhance methodologies, processes, and data quality. Your work will help uphold S&P Global’s reputation for delivering trusted, transparent, and high‑impact sustainability intelligence.

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate strong understanding of ESG concepts, global sustainability standards, and emerging regulatory trends.
Assess feedback from internal and external clients, identifying areas for improvement.
Propose and implement material, impactful ideas to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
Design and execute automated validation and quality assurance checks for ESG datasets.
Validate incoming data against established rules, thresholds, and methodologies, identifying potential violators.
Document and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders with clarity and consistency.
Collaborate closely with methodology, client service and operation teams to maintain alignment and interpret standards.
Troubleshoot data or process-related issues; provide timely support and guidance to team members.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in ESG/Sustainability research
Experience with Media and Stakeholders Analysis (MSA) dataset is a strong plus.
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize effectively, and work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong analytical and research capabilities, with a data-driven mindset.
Effective written and verbal communication skills suitable for global stakeholders.
Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative.
Agile and adaptable, with the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
Basic Qualifications & Skills Required:
Academic Qualifications – Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent; an advanced degree in a related field is welcome
Proficiency in using MS Office, SQL, Power BI shall be considered as added advantage
