About the Role

This internship is part of the Rising TIDE program. Elsevier created its Rising TIDE internship program to foster inclusion and provide individuals with work experience in the corporate world so that we can develop a pipeline of talent for entry-level individuals for post-graduation opportunities.

Join our team as a Research Intern and contribute to strategies for nursing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and patient engagement. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Strategy. Your insights will inform the development of tools and resources that will support nurses and improve patient care and outcomes.

Location: This is a remote or home-based role, open to various locations in the Pacific, Mountain, and Central Time Zones.
Program Dates: June 1, 2026- August 7, 2026
Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students expected to graduate by May 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the Clinical Solutions strategic vision and guiding principles.

  • Research healthcare market trends and evolving consumer health needs.

  • Analyze data sets and share insights to inform clinical strategy and product development.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand goals, workflows, and agile development processes.

Requirements

  • Be a current student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, public health, math, statistics, or a related field of study with a graduation date of May 2027.

  • Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel, or have other spreadsheet proficiency or familiarity with structured data.

  • Have experience with data analysis tools and techniques to analyze large datasets to find patterns.

  • Be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Proven critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Showcase openness to learning and contributing in a professional matrix environment.

  • Proven experience or familiarity with digital health tools and their clinical impact is welcome but is not required.

Salary Range

$28/hour for undergraduate students
$30/hour for graduate students
