We are looking for a Research Fellow to support research works in COEB. The role will focus on developing the low-dimensional nanophotonics, focusing on the near-field, nonlinear and quantum optical properties of emerging low-dimensional materials.
The Research Fellow will be involved in research on the development of low-dimensional nanophotonic structures for nano-optical applications. The duties of this position include:
Carry out research on low-dimensional material nanophotonics and develop relevant theoretical models.
Conduct numerical simulations, design photonic nanostructures, and perform related characterization and measurements.
Set up and maintain optical experimental systems for device and material testing.
Work closely with interdisciplinary collaborators and contribute to joint research activities.
Perform quantum optics and nonlinear optics experiments.
Support the Principal Investigator (PI) in laboratory operation and research group management
Job Requirements:
PhD in Optical/Device Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with low-dimensional nanophotonics. Excellent publication records will be preferred.
Experience in matlab, MEEP, RCWA and other softwares and algorithms.
Good understanding of nonlinear and quantum optics.
Strong knowledge of optical physics, while experimental experience would be preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to scientific rigor.
Excellent experience of quantum and nonlinear photonic experiments
