A part of the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas was founded in 1905 and is a nationally recognized center for oral health sciences education, research, specialized patient care and continuing dental education. What you need to know 

Proposed Salary: $45,000.00 annually

Work Schedule/Location: Located in Dallas, TX, this an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

Responsibilities

Research Publications

  • Utilizes summarized results in scientific and/or clientele-oriented publications.

  • Prepares and writes proposals to funding agencies and maintains financial accounts related to research projects.

 

Research

  • Designs, plans, conducts and coordinates experiments in support various research projects.

  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques of routine research, keeping detailed records of data.

  • Installs, operates, and/or repairs research equipment.

  • Assists in planning and coordinating research projects.

  • Uses computers and laboratory or technical equipment to perform data analysis, statistical analysis, and technical evaluation of research experiments and results.

  • Evaluates and summarizes experiment results.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of related experience in dentistry, research or lab setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and/or technical equipment.

  • Ability to effectively utilize a computer and applicable software.

  • Attention to detail.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a demonstrated ability to craft persuasive and compelling content.

  • Strong research abilities and the capacity to synthesize complex information into clear and concise written materials.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality work that reflects our professionalism and expertise.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and Adobe program suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).

  • Experience with technical writing, proposal development, and grant writing.

  • Familiarity with RFP/RFQ processes and grant funding mechanisms.

  • History of strong written communications skills, ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals

  • Previous history of grant writing, publication, and/or successful federal/foundational grant funding

  • Masters or Doctoral degree.
