The Role
We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Research Associate to join our Pathology (PATH) team in Utrecht! In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that high-quality tissue samples are available to support Genmab’s preclinical research portfolio. You will be closely involved in biospecimen management and tissue processing, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of the lab. This is a practical, lab-based role where accuracy, structure, and a proactive mindset are essential.
Your work will focus on the intake, processing, archival, and quality control of tissue samples and cell lines. This includes activities such as tissue sectioning (paraffin and frozen), HE staining, slide scanning, and maintaining well-organized sample and data records. You will also help coordinate external cell (line) processing activities with partners such as CROs and UMCU when needed. In addition to lab work, you will support operational tasks within the PATH team, such as maintaining documentation, workflows, and ensuring structured and compliant use of systems like SharePoint.
This is a temporary 9-month entry level position to cover a colleague’s leave. While extension is not expected, it remains dependent on business needs.
Does this sound like an opportunity for you? We invite you to submit your CV and a letter of motivation so we can get to know you better!
