Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related field plus (4) years of directly related research experience requried.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Assists with the operation and operates independently of analytical equipment.
Assists with quantifying various nutrients, chemicals, and/or metabolites, ensuring quality and accurate results are provided.
Assists with and undertakes independently extractions of metabolites from a variety of food and biological substrates.
Assists with the maintenance of laboratory equipment to keep it in proper working condition.
Observes and learns about the proper handling of radioactive and other hazardous chemicals.
Maintains proper records of experiments in detail.
Documents all experimental results, including photos where appropriate.
Prepares data for publication.
Maintains a safe work environment and safety training.
Maintains all necessary records for equipment, maintenance, use, etc. (this
Attends seminars or meetings as instructed or suggested by the supervisor.
Performs related duties as required.
Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed.
Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality when necessary.

This position is a Designated Research Position and is regulated by the Arkansas Research Education Protection Act of 2025.
