We are looking a Research Associate to support the Climate Transformation Programme (CTP) at EOS.

The role contributes to advancing understanding of climate-driven impacts and adaptation pathways in Southeast Asia, focusing on the interactions between climate, hydrology, sediment, and ecosystem systems. The successful candidate will integrate modelling, remote sensing, and AI-based analytics to evaluate regional climate risks and support science-to-policy translation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct integrated climate-impact assessments addressing water resources, sediment transport, and ecosystem resilience.

  • Develop and apply numerical and statistical models to simulate climate–hydrology–environment linkages.

  • Utilize GIS, remote sensing, and data-driven approaches to quantify climate vulnerabilities and adaptation opportunities.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams under the CTP framework on resilience and sustainability themes.

  • Support data analysis, visualization, proposal writing, and publication of research outcomes.

  • Participate in stakeholder engagement and communication of scientific results for climate policy and adaptation planning.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in environmental engineering, Hydrology, Earth System Science, or related field

  • Demonstrated experience in climate-impact or environmental modelling, hydrological analysis, or remote sensing/GIS.

  • Proficiency in Python and/or R for climate or hydrological data processing.

  • Familiarity with numerical modelling tools (e.g., Delft3D, HEC-HMS, MIKE, GR4J) is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical and visualization skills with excellent scientific writing and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary, multi-cultural teams.

EOS seeks a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to equality of opportunity. We welcome applications from all and recruit based on merit, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, marital status, family responsibilities, or disability.
