Research Associate (Generic Nutrition & Taste Acceptability Protocol)

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Associate to contribute to the SingFarmS programme, a 10-year initiative supporting Singapore’s food security and public health.

The successful candidate will work in Work Package 3.4: Nutrition and taste impact, developing and applying a standardized protocol to evaluate the nutritional, health, and consumer acceptability of vegetables grown in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adapt dietary intake assessment tools to Singaporean eating habits.
  • Conduct nutritional and health impact modelling.
  • Establish and coordinate sensory panels to assess taste and consumer acceptability.
  • Contribute to creating a generic performance evaluation protocol for CEA produce.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in nutrition, public health, food science, or related field.
  • Expertise in dietary assessment and/or nutrition modelling.
  • Experience in sensory evaluation and consumer research desirable.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and communication skills.
