Research Associate (Computer Science / Computer Engineering)

We engage with local as well as global agencies and industry partners to develop capabilities for a number of areas of strategic importance including:

  • cyber worthiness of autonomous vehicles

  • cyber risk management, advanced threat intelligence

  • secure-by-design for IoT and policy

  • governance of cybersecurity

The Research Associate will support the development of advanced research prototypes and technical capabilities for the Agentic AI project.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design and development of software components for the agentic AI framework.

  • Develop algorithms and system architectures for autonomous AI agents, including reasoning, planning, and tool interaction modules.

  • Implement research prototypes and experimental platforms for evaluating AI agent capabilities.

  • Conduct experiments and performance evaluations for AI models and agent systems.

  • Improve system robustness, scalability, and efficiency through iterative development and testing.

  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate AI agent capabilities into practical applications.

  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and research publications.

  • Support the management of project deliverables and research milestones.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline

  • Strong programming experience in Python or similar languages

  • Knowledge of machine learning, AI systems, or autonomous agents

  • Experience with scalable software systems and cloud-based development environments

  • Familiarity with software engineering practices including version control and testing

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
