Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing and running research projects on reliable foundation models (LLMs/VLMs), including robustness, uncertainty estimation/calibration, hallucination mitigation/detection, and safe deployment.

  • Formulate / devise novel training, post-training, and inference-time methods (e.g., representation learning objectives, filtering/verification strategies, scalable evaluation protocols) that improve reliability under distribution shift and noisy feedback.

  • Improve model evaluation and benchmarking: build reproducible pipelines, curate datasets, implement metrics, and perform rigorous ablations and error analyses (including failure-mode taxonomies).

  • Implement and maintain high-quality research codebases (PyTorch/HF), experiment tracking, and compute workflows (multi-GPU, HPC/cluster), ensuring reproducibility and documentation.

  • Accountable for delivering research milestones: weekly progress updates, clear experiment logs, and tangible outputs (preprints/submissions, open-source artifacts, technical reports, datasets).

  • Collaborate closely with the PI, students, and external partners; contribute to project planning, cross-team communication, and co-authoring papers.

  • Support mentoring and lab operations as needed: guide junior students on implementation/experimentation, maintain best practices for coding, safety evaluation, and data handling.

  • Expectations: high research ownership, strong experimental rigor, proactive problem-solving, clear technical writing, and consistent throughput from idea → prototype → validated results → publication-quality artifacts

Job Requirements:

  • Preferably Master in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

  • Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a team player

  • Excellent teamwork and verbal, written communication skills

  • In-depth knowledge relevant to the project domain.

  • Demonstrated capability to conduct innovative research.

  • The ability and willingness to adapt and incorporate novel ideas and approaches in scientific industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to formulate hypothesis and design effective experimental plans.

  • Ability to design and implement new experimental methods.

  • High-level expertise in the required experiment or modelling methods.

  • Ability to initiate collaboration research in multidisciplinary team.

  • Oversee and report project progress.

  • Ability and willingness to work some flexible hours.
