Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications.
We are looking for a research assistant to support the research progress on Perovskite quantum dots for their implementation in light-emitting devices
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the materials and device team
Development of Infrared emitting Quantum Dots (QDs)
Development of Optoelectronics devices based on QDs
Synthesis of novel Perovskite low-dimensional systems such as QDs and nanowires.
Optical and electrical characterization methodologies.
Operation, maintenance, and diagnosis of the chemistry lab and other simple laboratory instruments used.
Supervise undergraduate students
Job Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Physics/ chemistry/engineering or related disciplines.
Experience in advanced laboratory experience in thermal evaporation
Experience in advanced laboratory methods for the fabrication and analysis of solar cells
Experience in Perovskite materials and optoelectronic devices
Expert in Perovskite nanostructured synthesis.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent teamwork awareness.
Good communication and writing in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
Strong responsibility for research/work
